  • Winter vegetables such as Cauliflower, Cabbage, Broccoli and Brussel Sprouts.
  • Shade loving plants like Heuchera´s, Lamium and Hellebores on mass beneath deciduous trees.
  • Trees with vibrant Autumn foliage colour like the fiery red Acer ´Fairview Flame´ or Cercis ´Forest Pansy´ with decorative yellow, orange and purple leaves.
  • Layer Winter-Spring flowering bulbs in decorative pots. Try Tulips at the bottom, Dutch Iris in the middle and miniature Daffodils on top.

Care

  • Give Camellias a good dose of Earthcore Azalea and Camellia Food at the beginning of the AFL season.
  • For best flavour leave Apples to ripen on the tree. Protect the fruit with bird netting.
  • Weed and fertilise your lawn at the same time with Earthcore Weed and Feed
  • Prune back Summer-Autumn flowering plants that have finished their display like Dahlias, Asters, Penstemon and Salvias.
  • Put Tulip bulbs in the fridge roughly six weeks before planting.

New South Wales

Plant

  • Sow Sweet Peas on St Patrick´s Day

  • Plant poppies in a sunny spot on Anzac Day
